RetinaPad on Cydia
When you own a jailbroken iPad, one of the great and interesting things you could do with it that you can’t do with an iPad that’s not jailbroken yet, is to accommodate apps that are not specifically made for the iPad but are actually developed for other iOS devices like the iPhone or the iPod Touch. One of those apps is the Google+. It doesn’t have a version for the iPad yet, but the iPhone version of it could work perfectly for the iPad as well, as long as the iPad is jailbroken. The only problem is, since the said app is not made for the resolution of the iPad, you have to adjust it to 2x to make it convenient for the Ipad’s LCD with the consequence of a pixelated screen.

Now, who would want a blurred screen, right? That’s where the RetinaPad comes in handy. It sharpens the screen to make the iPhone apps clear and less blurry for the iPad’s screen and resolution. Of course, it would not be able to change the resolution of the iPhone-only apps, but it would produce an obvious difference on these scaled-up apps.
Ready for the RetinaPad? To be able to get the RetinaPad, you have to have the Cydia app, and to access the Cydia app, you have to jailbreak your iPad first. There are a lot of ways to jailbreak your iPad. Some jailbreaks even require just one click! After jailbreaking your iPad, access the Cydia app via your Home screen. Cydia is the app market for jailbroken iDevices. They contain special apps that are not available in the other app markets out there. Search for RetinaPad, and buy it for $2.99.
After purchasing, you can now start discovering the wonders of the RetinaPad. Access the app through the iPad’s Settings under Extensions. There you would see the different apps where you could use your RetinaPad on. Choose the apps you want to activate RetinaPad with and you’re good to go. If you open the app and still don’t notice any change, keep in mind that this app does not work automatically. You need to close the app by long pressing it via your Home screen and pressing the red x mark, and launching it again after setting your RetinaPad. Rest assured that your RetinaPad app is now working it’s magic on your app already.
