Newest Jailbreak: FastRa1n
The newest jailbreak is out! It’s called FastRa1n with it’s newest version that could provide an untethered jailbreak to your gadget with an iOS of 4.3.3 to 4.3.5. It’s still not yet confirmed whether this jailbreak is already capable of jailbreaking the iPad and the iPad 2. For now, it’s for sure that the iPhone,and iPod Touch are jailbroken already.
What is jailbreaking anyway? First and foremost, it liberates your iOS from the restrictions that Apple has set for the user. Jailbreaking your device would allow you to do the things that you want that you can’t do with the unjailbroken device like tweaks, customizations, and others. Jailbreaking also gives you access to Cydia, a very special app market that allows you to download and install unique apps as well as tweaks, and other helpful modifications that you would find useful.
There are two types of jailbreaks: the tethered and the untethered. The tethered is the jailbreak wherein anytime you reboot your device, or reset, you have to jailbreak it again. This is a little inconvenient but some devices, as with some jailbreaks, only have tethered jailbreaks so far. Meanwhile, there is also the untethered jailbreak, wherein the iOS device is already jailbroken no matter what happens. It would not disappear after a hard reset, it’s just there indefinitely, or until you perform a restore.
Both jailbreaks don’t leave traces. The moment you restore your device, it’s as if nothing really happened. Jailbreaking is safe and is completely legal, contrary to what Apple says. What’s interesting is how both the hackers and Apple move on with their never ending attempts to counter each other. Whenever Apple launches a new iOS version or update, after only a few days up to a few hours, jailbreakers already have the jailbreaks for the updated iOS, or the newest version. Likewise, whenever there’s a new jailbreak, Apple develops a new update or a new iOS version to counter it.
