Sometimes, certain issues regarding your gadget could surface and the only way to fix it is through restoring it. Now, as far as files and other data are concerned, it would be really easy to back-up all your content via iTunes, but if you have a jailbroken device, you can restore almost everything except your special jailbreak tweaks.
Of course, that would prove to be a problem especially if you have already done a lot of personal tweaking to your gadget and would want to retain them even after the restoration. Of course, there is no way that iTunes would be able to back-up them, hence this app called xBackup was created. It is now available through Cydia.

How to Backup Your Cydia Apps Before Restoring
So, how are you going to do this anyway? Well, download and install xBackup first from Cydia. After installing, open it and tap on “BackUp”. YOu could now proceed to the restoration process. Connect your device to iTunes, find it, and right click. Select “Backup”. After the backup select “Restore from Backup”. After restoring, rejailbreak your gadget again, reinstall xBackup, and voila! All your Cydia apps are back.
You shouldn’t even wait too long into downloading this app because you will never know when you’re going to need a restore. More over, the moment that you do need a restore, could also mean that you can’t install this app already. Hence, you have to be prepared. Anyway, this Cydia app is really cheap at only $1.50.
Take note, you can only download this app through Cydia, which is only going to show up after you have jailbroken your device. Good luck!
