Fastforward to iOS 5 With Cydia: Adding Contact Photos To Messaging
So let’s continue our fast forward to iOs 5 series. Aren’t you just excited about the newest feature of the iOS 5 that allows you to add thumbnails of the photos of the people that are messaging you? It’s just a whole lot easier and more convenient to have that feature. In that way, you don’t confuse your contacts with each other especially if they have the same name.
Also, you can just imagine the help it would bring whenever you have group chat on, and everyone’s messaging all at the same time. It’s going to be easy to distinguish who you’re actually replying to if their messages have their pictures on them.
Add Contact Photo Thumbnails
Don’t you worry though because you don’t have to wait for the release of iOS 5 before you get to enjoy this feature because you can already enjoy this feature right now. How? With Cydia and with an app called ChatPic.
Let’s get going and install ChatPic, shall we? First of all, you have to jailbreak your device. Jaibreaking is pretty easy, so don’t worry. There are different methods to jailbreak your device, and there are different jailbreaks that suit different devices. All you have to do is to search for the ones that are compatible with your device and choose the one that is the most suitable for you.
After the jailbreak, you’ll have an app that’s called Cydia. Once you have Cydia on your device, then you can just access it and download all sorts of tweaks and cheats for the iOS. One of these tweaks is ChatPic. Download and install this for less than a dollar. Now what’s even great with this app is that it’s not actually an app. It’s just a tweak that would work alongside your existing Messages app. With this in mind, the ChatPics settings would also follow and be included in the Messages app’s Settings.
